Spintimacy A wheel for the two of you

About Spintimacy

Your choices stay on your device.

Spintimacy does not ask you to create an account. Here is how the current app handles preferences, activity choices and ordinary website requests.

What the app saves locally

The app stores your age acknowledgement and the categories and activities you have disabled in your browser’s IndexedDB storage. These settings stay in that browser on that device. Spin results are held in page memory and are not saved as a history.

What leaves your device

The app does not send your selected activities, disabled choices or spin results to a server, and it contains no activity-tracking analytics. It does request the site files needed to run. Cloudflare Pages hosts the site and processes normal request information, such as your IP address and browser request headers, to serve and protect those files.

Visits to our public pages

On spintimacy.com, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics on the homepage, How it works and this privacy page to understand page visits, referring websites, browser and device types, countries and loading performance. Its performance measurements can include page URLs and identifiers of page elements. Cloudflare says this service does not use cookies or fingerprinting to identify visitors. The analytics script does not run on Play or Customise. We do not send it spin results, selected activities, saved preferences or choice files, and we do not record browsing sessions.

Choice files are yours to manage

Save choices to a file downloads a JSON file containing your wheel configuration. Loading a file reads it in your browser. Spintimacy does not upload it. A file you share can reveal which activities you have enabled or disabled, so share it only deliberately.

Clearing data and shared devices

To remove your preferences and age acknowledgement, clear this site’s data in your browser settings. Switching everything back on resets wheel choices but does not erase the age acknowledgement. Other people using the same browser profile can access its saved choices.

Cached site files

The app uses a service worker to cache site files for faster repeat visits. These files include the app and its read-only catalogue, not a personal activity history. Your browser’s site-data controls can remove the cached files as well as preferences.
